Alpaca Bagged Up!
I finished bagging up the Alpaca. Now I have to weigh it and mark the bags up. Hopefully by Friday night I'll be ready to start entering everything onto Etsy.

Getting there...
So last night and part of this morning I spent it weighing roving and batts and bagging and tagging. Now I have to create a spreadsheet to log in my inventory. Then I have to put everything on my ETSY shop over the weekend and start advertising. Hopefully I will make some sells. The dream is to sell out of everything by the end of the month cause I got some bills I need help paying and this income will come in handy.

Etsy Shop
So I opened an Etsy shop to sale fiber, books, and stuff. Need to add more stuff but every time I make plans something comes up. Last night I was vacuuming up water from the basement because somehow while my daughter was doing her laundry the deep sink was "knocked" off of its base and the pipe came loose. Hopefully none of my stuff stored down there was ruined.
So I have two bags of washed Icelandic fleeces approximately 6 lbs that I started with. I still need to run the rest through the drum carder. One bag is gray and black and the other is white. They have minimal veggie matter. I haven't spun any of it yet because I'm trying to spin as I go. So I am spinning the first fibers I purchased first. I also have a bag of pin drafted roving that I purchased that I'm going to break down into 4 oz balls and sell. It's naturally brown in color. I am reading Etsy's rules to see if I can sell all my old Red Heart yarn stash to get rid of it since I am totally into natural fibers now.

Finding the path....
I've been crocheting for many many years. I recently began learning how to knit. I was looking at knitting needles on Ebay and ran across an auction for roving and spindle kit. I was lost. There was a reaction inside of me so strong that I immediately ordered the kit. I just knew what to do with it. To make sure I was spinning correctly I joined the group Ravelry and met Fibercrone. We meet almost every Sunday to spin/knit together. I've learned so much from her. I have joined a group of knitters who meet a few times a week to accomodate work schedules etc. They have a weekend breakfast meet and a weekday dinner/supper meet. They are a fun group of ladies. I will try and post particulars and more information when I get home.
